Aerial Work Platform Training from Genie Lifts
( Classroom and Hands On )

This class will be begin at 8 AM on Friday morning.

If an OSHA inspector discovers an individual operating an aerial platform and has not received the proper training (or cannot provide proof of proper training) as defined below, the operator can be personally cited and fined, as well as face removal from the job. The contractor for whom they are working will also be cited and fined.

Proper training and familiarization is absolutely critical to the safe operation of any aerial platform. It saves lives and makes operators much more productive. A class can be done in a day but the benefits last forever.

Per ANSI/SAIA A92 Standards, whenever an owner or user directs or authorizes an individual to operate an aerial platform (loading, unloading, inspecting or any form of use) the owner or user must ensure that the individual has received:

	- General training regarding the inspection, application and operations of aerial platforms,
including recognition and avoidance of hazards associated with their operation, as well as
actual operation of the aerial platform under the direction of a qualified person for a sufficient
period of time to demonstrate proficiency in the actual operation of the aerial platform.
	- Familiarization training on the specific aerial platform to be operated, including the location
of the weather resistant compartment for manual(s) storage, on purpose and function of all controls,
and safety devices and operating characteristics specific to the aerial platform.

General training instructions must include the inspection, application, recognition and avoidance of hazards associated with the equipment. Additionally, the operator must receive AWP equipment model-specific familiarization on the particular model that he/she will be operating.

Both general training and familiarization are currently outlined in the ANSI/SIA Manuals of Responsibilities and the full ANSI/SIA A92 Standards.

General instructions for operators regarding the inspection, application and operation of AWP equipment, including recognition and avoidance of hazards associated with their use, are covered in Section 8.5.1 ANSI/SIA Standards A92.3, A92.5, A92.6. These standards require the inclusion of, but are not necessarily limited to, the following issues and requirements.

- The actual operation of the aerial platform "under the direction of a qualified person."
- The need for the trainee to operate the aerial platform(s) for a sufficient period of time to demonstrate proficiencies in the actual operation of all functions of the aerial platform.
- That much of the general training should take place in the classroom.
- Regulations and standards.
- The need to perform workplace inspections.
- Recognition and avoidance of common hazards.
- Operator warnings and instructions.
- The purpose and use of manuals.
- A pre-start investigation.
- Factors affecting stability.
- Personal protective equipment.
- General equipment components.
- Safe use of equipment.
- The proper section of the AWP equipment for the job at hand.
- The application and understanding of typical options that are likely associated with larger machines: e.g. outriggers/stabilizers, extendable axles, envelope management systems, load-moment devices, dual capacity.

When properly completed, general training is the first step towards qualifying an operator to operate any like-type of AWP equipment as long as he/she is also familiarized with the controls and safety devices of the other like-type equipment.

Pricing: $159.00 - Limit of only 20 people may take this class. Contact us now!

Wash Water Control Best Management Practices given by Sirocco
a Certification for outdoor cleaning applications

This is a 3 and a half to 4 hour class.

StormWater Law requires everyone in outdoor cleaning to understand regular ions for the management of wash water and pollutants in protecting the environment. Now is the time for the technology-driven educational program that enables all concerned to standardize and implement truly sustainable Best Management Practices. We all know that capitalism is going to pay for protecting the environment, but knowing and understanding the technologies of Wash Water Control through embracing the business community is the only way to construct a "Sustainable Relationship" with the business of cleaning.

Outdoor cleaning could also called "Surface Pollution Control". If there was no pollution on your car, sidewalk, building, or equipment, then there would be no need for outdoor cleaning. Businesses engaged in providing outdoor cleaning services should be considered pollution control experts as they are paid for and profit from sustainable cleaning.

StormWater enforcement community is tasked with policing any mismanagement. Though the new technologies and better training easily insures compliance and the greater work speed, new applications and markets in pollution control helps. Now that the pollution control (cleaning) community has the tools they need, we are making available to all, our clearly defined best management practices:

WHAT is expected of you in a sustainable context on every job site generating wash water.
HOW to manage the job site for total compliance.
HOW to match equipment to the job site.
HOW to configure modular filtration.
HOW to have reliability and manageable best management practices without confusion.

All in an organized training class with certification.

Our wash water control handbook has provided hundreds of professionals with guideline best management practices. Many cities have used it as a blueprint for their own best management practice programs. Now we have expanded that and more in a series of dialog, discussion, and demonstrations, for the simple benefit of sustainable profit to the environment and to the business community for a job well done.

Pricing: $139.00 - No limitation on how many people to attend the class.
